The Italian Interiors of Elsa Peretti offers an intimate look into the stunning homes of the late artist and jewelry designer, whose creations have left a lasting impact on 20th-century fashion. This beautifully photographed book by Estelle Hanania captures the warmth and charm of two of Elsa’s residences: the towering Saracen-style home, Torre Avoltore, in Porto Ercole, and her stately childhood apartment in Rome. With an introduction by longtime collaborator Stefano Palumbo and a reflective essay by Dominique Nabokov, the book delves into Elsa’s creative partnership with architect Lorenzo Mongiardino. This edition, created in collaboration with the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation, is the first to exclusively document her Italian interiors, offering a unique glimpse into spaces filled with her personal collection of art and artifacts. Photographed just before Elsa’s Rome apartment was sold, this book preserves the final moments of how she lived and expressed her artistic vision in her private world.
